COVID-19 Safety Procedures

voice training

We are taking steps to provide safe speech therapy and service to our clients, with a specially designed COVID-19 office management plan for patient flow.  We have staggered clinic sessions so sessions are not starting and ending at the same time. Each therapist at the clinic will be assigned a start time for their sessions to run either on the hour, 15-minute mark, 30-minute mark and 45-minute mark, to avoid congregating in the waiting room. Your child can be dropped off and parents must wait outside their car or take a walk until your child is ready for pickup.

Sanitization and Cleaning

Before and after each client, we will be sanitizing our rooms and toys.  Clients are asked to sanitize their hands before they enter our facility, with hand sanitizer provided at the clinic. We will constantly be sanitizing door knobs/handles and work areas. Break rooms, bathrooms, and other common areas are being disinfected frequently. In addition we are:

  • Providing soap and water for handwashing
  • Placing hand sanitizer in multiple locations around the clinic to encourage hand hygiene
  • Providing employees sufficient time to conduct hand-washing between sessions

All LA Speech Therapy staff members have been asked to remain home if they are not feeling well or have flu-like symptoms. They will not be allowed to resume in-person service until they confirmed negative with no symptoms for 2 weeks. The safety of our clients and our staff is our top priority!
